Employees of a travel agency in Niteroiin the metropolitan region of Rio, were gagged and threatened with firearms during the robbery committed on Saturday afternoon (19). The attack led to theft of more than R$60,000 in cashaccording to the restaurant owner.
The criminals broke into the place and, according to the owner’s testimony, showed that they knew details of the agency’s routine. During the action, one of the robbers asked if the “passage girl” was present, suggesting that the group had already frequented the location.
The identification of specific employees reinforced the hypothesis that the crime was intentional.
Two employees who were present during the robbery were taken hostage, immobilized with seals and gagged. The armed suspects demanded the available cash and then fled. The owner was not physically injured, but reported psychological trauma from the abuse.
The inspection was carried out at the establishment and the case is being investigated by the 77th DP (Icaraí). So far, there is no information about the identity of the suspects, nor any clues about the whereabouts of the criminals.
