The technology training program promotes maker workshops for young generations in the North and West Zones of Rio de Janeiro.

Sapoti Projetos Culturais is holding the third edition of Oficina Maker, a free digital manufacturing course, aimed at public school students aged 14 to 20. The project is sponsored by the City of Rio de Janeiro, with the support of the Municipal Department of Culture and companies such as TechnipFMC, Sotreq, Kadima and Sistema PH, through the Municipal Cultural Incentives Law (ISS Law).

With 17 classes and scheduled to end in April 2025, the course takes place twice a week at FabLab Firjan Tijuca, offering complete infrastructure, including 3D printers and laser cutters. In addition to technical learning, students receive a scholarship in the form of transportation assistance and food vouchers. The program covers topics such as renewable energy, energy transition and project development, preparing young people for the future of technology and the job market.

This initiative stands out for its “maker” methodology, which encourages students to learn through practice, fostering creativity, teamwork and critical thinking, which are essential for the job market.
