Russian forces bombed a market in the center of the city of Kherson, southern Ukraine, this morning. Seven people died and four were injured.
“According to the investigation, on October 1, 2024, around 9 a.m. (8 a.m. in Poland), Russian forces attacked the city center of Kherson with barrel artillery. The shooting occurred near a local market and a public transportation station“- the local prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
“The sales points where Kherson residents bought or sold products in the morning were attacked.” – said the head of the Kherson Regional Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.
Seven people were killed in the bombing: Three women and four men.
The head of the military administration of the city of Kherson, Roman Mrochko, said: Four people were injured and taken to hospital.
Mroshko noted, “These women are 68, 65, and 33 years old, and a 65-year-old man. All of them were injured by explosions and shrapnel. They were in the street when the enemy attacked.”
