The Polish series enters the foreign market. Will it be a success there too?

Following its success in the local market, the six-episode comedy “Klara”, starring Izabela Kuna in the title role, will be released for viewers abroad. From 15 September, the series will be available via the Spanish Max service. This is the first world premiere of a Polish title since the platform’s debut in Poland.

“Clara” is a serial adaptation of a literary debut Isabela Kuna under the same title.

What is the series “Klara” about?

The titleholder Klara (Isabela Kuna) is a girl like many we meet every day on the street, in the store or at the gym. Her fortieth birthday is already behind her. So is her wedding and the certainty that after “and they lived happily ever after” there will be a sequel, not necessarily with a happy ending. Klara also has a toxic and omniscient mother (Image: Instagram)Iwona Bielska), an absent father, a breeding cat and… problems like everyone else. He also has faith. The naive belief that his dreams will also come true. For more than a dozen years, his heart has been pounding and going crazy for Aleks (Image: Instagram)Adam Woronowicz) – a not so handsome lawyer who has one flaw – his wife! However, the heart is not a servant… Fortunately, there are still helpers… And the greatest treasure – friends! It’s true, two pieces – Wronka (Katarzyna Warnke) and Wojtek (Peter Adamczyk). The perfect team to die and be reborn!

“Klara” is a hit on the Polish VOD market

“Klara” premiered on Player as the latest production from the Player Original brand. A six-episode series with an all-star cast he immediately won the hearts of the site’s users, becoming number one position for many weeks. Similarly, after its debut on Max – in June this year – the title was on the most watched list.

Foreign premiere of the series

Starting September 15, Klara and her friends will be introduced to streaming service users in Spain through the Max platform. The production is there the first Polish title in the Player’s library, which will have its foreign debut when Max enters Poland.

I’m very happy about that our Polish productions conquer foreign markets. “The King of Zanzibar” is one of the most watched titles in Europe and the United States, “Control” by Natasza Parzymies was well received in the United States, and now we await the premiere of “Klara”, which also has great international potential. – says Dorota Eberhardt, program director at Max in Poland.
