The owner of the Pão Dourado bakery chain, Darlan Guimarães Viana Costa, died this Friday (27/9), after being shot accidentally. The tragedy occurred during a fishing trip, in Santa Cruz do Xingú, in Mato Grosso.
According to Agência Tocantins, who was at the scene, the businessman was rescued and taken by private plane to hospital in Palmas, the capital of Tocantins. Despite several resuscitation efforts by rescue teams, Darlan did not survive his serious injuries.
Mato Grosso Civil Police experts are at the scene and the circumstances of the shooting will be investigated.
Until this last report was updated, neither Darlan’s family members nor Pão Dourado’s network had announced when or where the businessman’s farewell ceremony would take place.
