Vijay Varma is enjoying success IC 814: Capture of Kandahar. The Netflix thriller, which is director Anubhav Sinha’s OTT debut, features a stellar cast including Manoj Pahwa, Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah. On Friday, Vijay posted a series of pictures with ‘Thespian Gangstas’ on Instagram. Although director Anubhav Sinha’s face is partially hidden in the images, the tag confirms his presence. Vijay Varma captioned the post, “Grazing with the GOATS Thespian Gangstas.” Actor Sunny Hinduja commented, “Maaaaiiiiiiiii bhi Milna chahta hoon [I also want to meet].” Bigg Boss 17’s Ayesha Khan called the photo the ‘Million Dollar Photo’ and we definitely agree with her.
A few days ago, Vijay Varma shared another post on Instagram expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to share screen space with ‘film gods’ Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapur.
In a detailed note, the actor wrote, “A boy from Hyderabad had a dream, a big dream, and it seemed so far away that he wouldn’t even dare to imagine that it would come true one day. The boy is me, now a grown man, and the dream was to work for the film gods Mr. Naseeruddin Shah and with Mr. Pankaj Kapur. Now I have a crazy poster of these legends. Thank you Anubhav Sinha for bringing the best talent of the county. This actor is (fire emoji) Says Icons Only. Big kudos to Mukesh Chhabra for getting this Royal Rumble.”
IC 814: Capture of Kandahar is based on the hijacking of an Indian airliner in 1999. Vijay Varma plays the role of Captain Sharan Devi in the six-episode show. The limited series also features Dia Mirza, Arvind Swamy, Kumud Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, Patralekha Paul, Amrita Puri, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Pooja Gor.
