Former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro thanks former Deputy Minister Marcin Romanowski “for preparing such a broad and comprehensive law that protects children”. It is about the so-called Kamilek Act. “Today, officials who serve Poland so well are persecuted by Donald Tusk and the new government,” the leader of Sovereign Poland noted.
Ziobro thanks Romanowski
On August 15, the main provisions of the so-called Kamilek Act were adopted. At that time, all institutions whose services are used by children had to implement the so-called standards for the protection of minors. They have, among other things: to help you detect early signs that your child may be harmed or to protect him or her from harm.
To prepare the call Kamilka Zbigniew Ziobro thanked Marcin Romanowski, former Deputy Minister of Justice.
I would like to thank Deputy Minister Marcin Romanowski for drafting such a broad and comprehensive law that protects children. The Kamilka Law of @MarcinRoma19996, the first provisions of which have been in force for a year, and since yesterday new rules for the protection of the youngest in all institutions that have contact with children have been in force, is an opportunity to prevent many tragedies.
– emphasized former MS boss Zbigniew Ziobro on his entry into the X platform.
Today, the officials who serve Poland so well are persecuted by @donaldtusk and the new government
– he realized.
What does Kamilek’s Law assume?
Amendments to the Family and Guardianship Code and some other laws, namely: on combating threats of sexual crimes, i.e. the so-called Kamilek Law was adopted by the Sejm on July 18 last year. Its provisions were implemented in stages.
The first important date was February 15th of this year. Since then, people who enter institutions related to activities with children provided for in the Law must present a certificate of non-existence of criminal records from the National Criminal Registry.
From August 15, the requirements concerning the so-called standards for the protection of minors – this is one of the most important elements of the law.
These standards should be introduced by all institutions whose services are used by children, including: educational institutions (schools, kindergartens), welfare, educational, religious, artistic, medical, recreational, sports, related to the development of interests.
The implementation of the rules will be monitored by, among others, local government institutions and the National Labour Inspectorate. The penalty for failure to comply with this obligation is a reprimand or a fine of PLN 250. If failure to comply with the obligation is found again, the fine increases to PLN 1,000.
The law also introduced other solutions. Based on this, the National Plan to Combat Crimes against Sexual Freedom and Decency to the Detriment of Minors for the years 2023-2026 was adopted last autumn.
Romanowski: “Unfortunately, I hear voices about problems”
August 15th, also alone Marcin Romanowski spoke about the project.
A year ago, the first provisions of the Kamilka Act, adopted by the Sejm on the initiative of a group of deputies from Sovereign Poland, and prepared by me in cooperation with experts from non-governmental organizations, including the Kamilka community, came into force. From today onwards, the obligations to introduce standards for the protection of minors in all institutions where work with children is carried out are fully implemented.
– he wrote.
Unfortunately, I hear voices about problems and delays in implementing the provisions of the Law and the United Right government. It is a pity that the Ministry of Justice, instead of dealing with real problems, destroys the system of helping victims.
– added Romanowski.
