Yaber introduced its K3 series of home cinema projectors at IFA, and they are the brightest the company has ever produced. They build on last year’s successful K2s model.
The Yaber K3 is an LED projector that can reach 1600 ANSI lumens. It projects a 1080p image from 40” to 200” in size (the projector has a throw ratio of 1.2:1).
The new NovaGlow optical technology promises sharp, vibrant images. With extra brightness comes extra heat, so Yaber created the CoolSwift cooler to manage that heat. It’s a combination of a U-shaped heatsink and two thermoelectric coolers. Yaber will announce more details about the NovaGlow and CoolSwift soon.
The projector is equipped with intelligent functions that automatically create the best image in any room: auto focus, automatic keystone correction, intelligent screen positioning and obstacle avoidance.
The K3 runs on Android with Google TV, so you have access to over 7,000 apps, including streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, and so on. There’s also NFC, so you can just touch your phone to the projector and start streaming local content. Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.0 are available for local connections. Voice commands are available if you don’t feel like reaching for the remote.
The Yaber K3 has two JBL 15W (800cc) speakers and Dolby Atmos. In addition to the vanilla model, there is the Yaber K3 Pro, which includes a woofer for extra bass. That’s probably the only difference between them (well, not really).
The Yaber K3 will be sold exclusively online, the K3 Pro will be sold exclusively in stores, so that’s another difference. The K3 costs €600, and if you want the subwoofer, the K3 Pro costs €650.
In addition, the company presented a cheaper and more compact Yaber L2s. It still displays a 1080p image, although at a lower level of 700 lumens. Auto Focus is supported from more advanced functions. This projector has two 8 W JBL speakers and works quietly (35 dB). The price of the Yaber L2s is only 240 euros.
