According to the information provided by the Syrian side, among the three civilian victims in the air strike was Safaa Ahmed, a well-known Syrian television journalist. Nine people were allegedly injured in the attack.
The Syrian capital was attacked at night by Israeli air forces and drones
We read in a statement published by SANA that the journalist’s death was confirmed by the Radio and Television Office. The statement stated, “Anchor Safaa Ahmed was martyred after the treacherous Israeli aggression on the capital, Damascus.”
The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that the Israeli army attacked Damascus using drones and the air force at around 2 a.m. local time. The attack was carried out from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
