Failure identified while performing extra trip –
A failure in the docking line at the São Joaquim Terminal caused disruption to the Ferry system this Monday morning, the 23rd. According to Internacional Travessias, the company in charge of operating the ferries, the Maria Bethânia and Rio Paraguaçu ferries will not be able to make the crossing temporarily.

The track failure was identified during an additional trip, with the Maria Bethânia ferry arriving at 5:30 a.m. in Salvador. Although pedestrians and some vehicles were able to disembark, the ferry had to return to the Bom Despacho Terminal to accommodate the remaining vehicles that were unable to disembark.
Currently the ferry system operates with three vessels: Dorival Caymmi, Anna Nery and Ivete Sangalo, with departures every hour. However, the company warns that some delays may occur due to failures.
