The fact that Agnieszka Wołk-Łaniewska has become the new editor-in-chief of the weekly “Nie” was announced on Friday afternoon on the weekly’s social media profiles.
Wołk-Łaniewska from “Nie” has been associated with breaks for more than two decades. From March 2024, she served as editor-in-chief. She was also editor-in-chief of the daily “Trybuna” and worked for “Wiadomości Kulturalne” and “Przegląd Tygodniowy”.

Previously, the editorial staff of “Nie” was headed by Waldemar Kuchanna, who passed away on July 1 this year. He became editor-in-chief last spring, just a few months after the death of Jerzy Urban, the magazine’s founder and longtime editor-in-chief. Previously, Kuchanna was deputy editor of “Nie” for ten years.
In turn, in March of this year, deputy editor-in-chief Andrzej Rozenek said goodbye to the weekly and Edyta Baker took over as editorial secretary.
As we recently reported, Urma, the publishing house of “No”, recorded a drop in revenues by 11.3% in 2023 to PLN 3.5 million, and its net loss deepened to over PLN 1.1 million. The company has been showing negative profitability for years.
