As early as the first announcement on the establishment of the Association, we said that the Association intends to represent its members in negotiations with big tech after fulfilling the relevant requirements under the relevant regulations. This village is part of fulfilling these requirements. We want to act as transparently as possible, believing that there are no doubts about the legal status of the organization in this context – comments Maciej Kossowski, President of the Association of Employers of Digital Publishers at Wirtualnemedia.pl.
The Digital Publishers Employers Association brings together the media
The Digital Publishers Employers Association (ZPWC) as an industry organization was established in September 2023 and includes representatives from WP Group, Ringier Axel Springer Polska and Agora, ZPR Media Group and TVN Warner Bros. Discovery and Interia.
The association’s objective is to represent the interests of its members in the creation of regulatory frameworks that are important from a media perspective. The organisation currently aims to focus on activities in the field of collective management of related rights in the context of the implementation of the EU DSMM directive. It gives media publishers the right to royalties for the use of journalistic content by major digital companies.
