The 29th Annual Meeting of the Escalada Movement brought together young people in Salvador and Lauro

This event brought together more than a thousand young people from 13 cities where the movement operates –

The 29th edition of the Annual Meeting of the Escalada Movement took place in Salvador and Lauro de Freitas this weekend, on Saturday, 28, and Sunday, 29. The event brought together about a thousand young people from 13 cities in Bahia, Sergipe and Pernambuco.

The Escalada Movement has been working for 46 years in the initiation of Christian life and is present in the cities of Cruz das Almas, Canavieiras, Una, Jacobina, Itabuna, Juazeiro, Ilhéus, Conceição de Almeida, Jequié, Aracaju, Petrolina and in its hosts, Salvador and Lauro de Freitas . Over the years, more than 20 thousand people attended this movement in all cities.

The 2024 edition will feature moments of reflection, in addition to a mass celebrated by the auxiliary bishop Dom Marco Eugênio, assisted by the Ecclesiastical Assistant of the Escalada Movement of the Archdiocese of São Salvador, Father Manoel Filho.

In Salvador, the Escalada Movement is present in the parishes of Nossa Senhora da Vitória, Nossa Senhora da Luz and Ascensão do Senhor. The Parish of São João Evangelista, in Lauro de Freitas, is completing 10 years of the movement’s presence.
