This time, the anniversary of 9/11 went almost unnoticed – perhaps except in New York itself. Donald Trump and former Mayor Michael Bloomberg attended a rather modest ceremony, and President Joe Biden, accompanied by his vice president and White House candidate Kamala Harris, visited the three crash sites of planes hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists 23 years ago. However, these gestures were overshadowed by the analysis of the Trump-Harris debate and, above all, by the news about Taylor Swift’s support for the Democratic front-runner. This is natural: the world today is faced with many problems and challenges. However, it is worth remembering that the terrorist threat has not disappeared – on the contrary, its nature and forms have changed. Our approach to this phenomenon must also change.
