On Saturday (10 a.m.), tens of thousands of volunteers will be collecting waste from the Rhine and other rivers. As in previous years, 40,000 to 50,000 people are expected to collect waste from the banks, weather permitting. Around 300 tonnes of waste will be collected in 2023. In North Rhine-Westphalia, Environment Minister Oliver Krischer (Greens) wants to officially launch the campaign in Düsseldorf.
