Team top scorer Kane in Bayern’s recent training

Bayern Munich, along with its striker Harry Kane, completed the final training session to face Aston Villa in the Champions League on Wednesday (9pm/DAZN). The 31-year-old English player was forced to be substituted after he injured his left ankle after a kick in the 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga derby against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. During the first 15 minutes of Munich training, which was open to the media, Kane took part in the game without any apparent restrictions.

Coach Vincent Kompany has to do without long-term injured Hiroki Eto’o (fractured metatarsal), Josip Stanisic (ruptured collateral ligament in right knee) and Sasha Pouille (ruptured meniscus in left knee). Otherwise his crew is complete.

“Whenever I return to Great Britain, I look forward to playing there,” said Kane, a long-time Tottenham Hotspur player. “Of course it will be a great atmosphere because it is their first home match in the Champions League for a long time.”
