This Wednesday afternoon, the 18th, the Penedo Police team served a preventive arrest warrant against a man accused of raping two underage sisters in the city.
Based on information conveyed by Police Chief Rômulo Andrade, in a video shared on social media, the 26-year-old man committed the crime in 2020, but managed to escape when the facts were revealed.
According to investigators, the 11 and 12 year old victims were the sisters of the suspect’s wife and he took advantage of this closeness to carry out the abuse.
The suspect threatened to kill the minor if he revealed his actions.
The arrest was made in the municipality of Senador Rui Palmeira. The man remains in judicial custody.
