A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbing and assaulting a 17-year-old teenager, in Mongaguá, on the southern coast of São Paulo, last Thursday, the 19th. The suspect bit, punched and took the victim’s cell phone, which ended up falling to the floor. He was then beaten by passers-by.

A video shows the suspect being slapped and kicked by two men, who called him “naughty”, “naughty” and “comedy”, as well as saying that he “touched the girl”. The suspect denied the allegations and groaned in pain.

According to Metrópoles, the robbery took place on Tuesday, 17, when the teenager was out of school. The young woman said she tried to defend herself and subdue the man, who retaliated by biting her arm. He then fled with her cell phone.
The man was arrested by witnesses who witnessed the robbery. They took a photo of the suspect and returned his phone to the teenager.
He was arrested two days later, inside his home, in Praia Grande, a neighboring city on the coast of São Paulo. The man confessed to police about the attempted robbery and assault on the teenager.
The case was registered at the Mongaguá Police Headquarters.
