Mumbai:
Suspected conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, lodged in a Delhi jail, has gifted a yacht to actress Jacqueline Fernandez on her birthday.
The boat is named after the actor. Sukesh revealed this in a letter addressed to the actor, who is celebrating his birthday on Sunday.
It is the same boat that Sukesh claims Jacqueline chose in 2021. He said in his letter that the yacht named ‘Lady Jacqueline’ would be delivered this month. He wrote on the latter that all taxes on the yacht have been paid and it is completely legal.
As the actor is involved in animal welfare, Sukesh also shared that the pet hospital he has donated to Jacqueline in Bengaluru was about to be completed this year.
To mark the actor’s birthday, the scammer has promised to donate Rs 15 crore and 300 homes to the relatives of the Wayanad landslide victims.
He has also announced 100 iPhone 15 Pros, which has made the song Yimmy Yimmy featuring Jacqueline a super hit.
Sukesh was arrested on 29 May 2015 for offenses under Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and certain sections of the Prize and Money Laundering (Banning) Act. Maharashtra Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Institutions) Act.
He was granted bail by the Bombay High Court last month but remains in jail due to several cases registered against him.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned Jacqueline for questioning in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar money laundering case.
He allegedly used illegal money to buy gifts for Jacqueline, according to the ED chargesheet filed in 2022.
Besides, actress Nora Fateh was also questioned in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case of Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
