Students take the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences UNAM

On the afternoon of Thursday, September 26, a group student they took over the facility Faculty of Political and Social Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

Through its statement, the Faculty reported that at around 12.30 WIB, a group of students took over the facilities and as a result academic and administrative activities were stopped.

“All face-to-face academic and administrative activities have been temporarily suspended until further notice,” they said.

So far, the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences does not have definite information on when access to these facilities will be reopened.

Likewise, they urge staff to stay informed through the Faculty’s official channels, which will publish the latest developments regarding the situation.

Although the reason for the seizure of the Faculty is unknown, this occurred in the context of a ten-year protest of the disappearance of 43 normal students from Ayotzinapa.
