Street 2starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is enjoying a successful run at the Indian box office. The Amar Kaushik-directed horror-comedy earned Rs 9.25 crore on its second Wednesday, reports Sacnilk. So far, the film’s total domestic collection stands at Rs 424.05 crore, the report added. On Tuesday, the film had already crossed the Rs 600 crore milestone worldwide. Despite the anticipated decline in box office receipts, Street 2 the third weekend is predicted to get off to a strong start. The film follows the story of the sinister Sarkata’s return to Chander to haunt its people, who once again turn to Stree. It featured several stars including Akshay Kumar, Tamannaah and Varun Dhawan.
Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared a note on the topic Street 2n box office on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. He wrote, “Despite drop in collections due to regular working day [second Tue] and heavy rain in parts of the country, #Stree2 continues to show remarkable consistency maintaining its strong performance in #BO. The film has collected double digit figures from day 1 [Thu] until the 13th [Tue]a major achievement in the current #Boxoffice climate… No other #Hindi film released in 2024 can claim this feat.”
He added, “Stree2 is on track to become the first #Hindi film of 2024 to cross the 500 ops mark. [NBOC]cementing its status as an ALL-TIME BLOCKBUSTER. [Week 2] Fri 19.30 ov, Sat 33.80 ov, Sun 40.75 ov, Mon 20.20 ov, Tue 12.25 kr. Total: ₹ 434.10 Cr. #IndianBusiness. #Boxoffice.”

Street 2 done its theatrical debut on August 15 will face stiff competition from Akshay Kumar Khel Khel Mein and of John Abraham Vedas. Although Khel Khel Mein has earned Rs 25.45 crore so far, Vedas earned Rs 20.24 crore at the domestic box office.
Street 2 is part of Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe, which he started with the 2018 film Street. Since then, he has expanded it to include films such as Roohi, Munjya and Bhediya. Munjyawhich debuted earlier this year, grossed Rs 107.48 crore at the box office throughout its theatrical run, making it one of the most successful films of the year.
