On the biggest streaming services, Poles are more likely to watch titles they already know – this is the general summary of the main Netflix productions in the first half of this year, prepared by Plum Research for Wirtualnemedia.pl.
The indicator taken into account when compiling the popularity lists of the platform’s titles was the total time spent watching a given production.
Netflix hits in Poland
In the ranking of exclusively Polish titles (films and series combined) on Netflix, the absolute leader is Telewizja Polska’s “Ranczo”, watched for a total of 12.7 million hours. In second place on the podium is the crime film “Rojst”, which viewers spent 7.6 million hours watching. Third place belongs to a hit comedy about the adventures of John Paul II from Adamczycha. “1670” was watched for a total of 6.3 million hours in the first six months of the year. Interestingly, this title also gathered the largest number of unique viewers (2.5 million, the number of profiles that watched the material at least once for at least 2 minutes).
The next places are “Forst”, “Bogdan Boner: The Exorcist”, “Mr. Kleks’ Academy”, “The Witcher”, “Hunting”, and the top is closed by “Kill Me, Darling”.

The most popular foreign series watched in Poland on Netflix is “Dr. House”, which has been shown on Polish television for many years. In the first half of 2024, Poles spent up to 23.8 million hours watching this title. The platform’s original production “Bridgertons” is in second place, and the finished series “Dexter” closes the podium.
The fourth place on the list is occupied by “The Rookie”, which is ahead of another title already known to Polish viewers, “The Good Doctor”. The next places are occupied by “Fool Me Once”, “The Walking Dead”, “Suits”. Number nine is the hit “Yellowstone”, also available on SkyShowtime. The top ten is closed by the cult “Breaking Bad”.
On Disney+, we look for titles that premiered on television a long time ago. For example, “Grey’s Anatomy”, which premiered on ABC in 2005. The title was watched for 7.5 million hours in the first half of the year. The podium was completed by “Modern Family”, watched for 3.5 million hours by Polish viewers, and “Criminal Minds”, with a viewing time of 3.2 million hours.
