With over 8,000 members, the Sports and Sports Federation Bonn (SSF) is the largest sports club in the federal city. On Saturday, the association invited people from Bonn and the surrounding area to the 47th SSF Festival at Münsterplatz to showcase their products ranging from badminton to water polo.
Mayor Ursula Sautter opened the festival with a performance by the band “SoulCake” and Ben Randerath. The SSF department designed the stage program and various sports participation activities. Olympic triathlon champion Lasse Lührs and the first women’s volleyball team came to the athletes’ award ceremony at lunchtime.
