Songwriter Kamrad (27), who is appearing as a coach for the first time in the new season of the casting show “The Voice of Germany”, still lives in his small hometown of Velbert near Wuppertal – and enjoys the peace and quiet of the city of 85,000 inhabitants. “Of course my dream is to be an artist, to perform on stage and take part in television shows,” the musician told the German Press Agency. “But for my head it is important to have this balance.”
He is a family man and loves to talk to his friends about topics outside of music. “I think a small town without a musician life would be too boring and lonely for me. And a fast-paced life with no place to retreat would be too much for me. The two are the perfect combination for me.”
The 27-year-old has also enjoyed success in other European countries in recent years with the singles “Feel Alive” and “I Believe”. From this Thursday he can be seen on “The Voice” with Mark Forster, Yvonne Catterfeld and Samu Haber. The music show is broadcast on Thursdays (ProSieben) and Fridays (Saturday 1) at 20:15.
