The President-elect arrived at 6:10 pm at the Mexico City Museum, the venue of the reception.
Sheinbaum got out of a private car in the rain, when passers-by recognized her and started shouting “President, President.” The brunette greeted them from afar, and headed to the museum, the entrance of which was guarded by military personnel wearing dark suits.
As of 6:30 p.m., Honduran President Xiomara Castro was spotted arriving on Avenida Pino Suarez.
However, other leaders, prime ministers and representatives of foreign countries are also invited, such as the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden. Hours after taking office, Sheinbaum indicated this afternoon that he would use this meeting to hold short bilateral meetings.
