It is said loudly: There was a major police operation in Oberbruch on Wednesday evening. At around 21:30, a special operations team moved to Niethausener Strasse with an armored car and stormed an apartment building. The police have evidence of weapons, as our newspaper’s press office reported on Thursday.

Special forces found several firearms inside the house. Police have not yet said exactly what type of weapons were involved. “Suspicious objects” are currently being examined. During the operation, two 43-year-old men, who may have been in possession of the weapons, were taken to the police station and questioned.

But according to police, there is no reason to arrest them, which is why the two men are back on the run. Police are continuing their investigation.
