School supplies for children from employers, benefits, loans. This is how companies support employees

As the authors of the study pointed out, about 4.9 million students will return to school after the holidays and their parents should prepare for additional expenses. Reference was made to a study by SW Research commissioned by Empik, where more than half of the respondents (48%) will spend up to PLN 500 per child, every third person (30%) will spend up to PLN 700, and 16%. assumes a budget of up to PLN 1,000.

It was reported that in the Progres Group study, 25 percent of companies stated that they would provide employees with school supplies for their children. Slightly less frequently (15 percent) companies stated that they would provide parents who employ them with prepaid cards for purchases related to their children’s education. It was also added that one in three companies offers aid or loans for these needs.

It was indicated that, in addition to the employer, a source of support may be the “Dobry Start” program, under which each child receives a one-time benefit of PLN 300. “Last year, across Poland, ZUS (for almost 4.6 million children) paid PLN 1 billion and 38 million,” it was noted.

School without renovation, but in a new way. What changes in the new year?

The authors of the study cited an insurance company that reported that at the end of July this year, some parents have already received benefits (more than PLN 62 million for 210,000 children). The authors also noted that families with lower incomes can apply for support from social welfare or non-governmental organizations (such as, among others, the Polish Red Cross, Caritas, Fundacja Niefinished Possibilities and Fundacja Pomocy Dzieciom Pociecha).

Grupa Progres is an HR agency operating throughout the country. It deals with temporary work, business consultancy, training and permanent recruitment.

The study was conducted between July 15 and August 15 this year. 1,200 representatives of companies from key sectors of the Polish economy, representing large and medium-sized enterprises, took part. (PAP)
