In today’s ever-changing world, the ability to adapt and learn continuously has become crucial not only for individuals but also for organizations. In this context, schools, as learning organizations, play a key role in shaping the attitudes and values associated with the trend towards lifelong learning. Teaching staff, who are at the heart of this process, can support students in their educational journey, but their development largely depends on the decisions made by the school principal, who decides on the subject of training and development programs.
A learning organization under the leadership of a director
Principals, as leaders of a learning organization, have a fundamental influence on how the school supports teachers in their development. The example of a principal who makes informed decisions about investing in staff development sends a powerful signal to the entire school community that learning does not end with graduation, but continues throughout life. It is principals who, by selecting the right training, can inspire teachers to develop independently and to continually improve.
