São Paulo is expected to record its highest temperature of the year during a new heat wave hitting the southeast of the country, with temperatures forecast to reach 36 ºC this Wednesday (25). This value must be surpassing Tuesday’s temperature which reached 35.4 ºC (24), according to Climatempo. In the interior of the state, temperatures have exceeded 40 ºC, with Valparaíso recording 41.3 ºC on Tuesday, according to Inmet.
This is the seventh heat wave of the year, according to Climatempo. The heat is being driven by a dry air mass, resulting in warm and sunny days. Humidity will be low, with humidity levels expected to be below 30%, according to the São Paulo City Climate Emergency Management Center. It is recommended to avoid outdoor exercise between 11am and 5pm.
Temperatures are expected to drop on Friday (27), when a weak cold front is expected to increase cloud cover and bring winds.with a chance of rain during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures should vary between 18 ºC and 31 ºC.
