Samsung has had a fairly consistent design for its premium S series, though there have been some tweaks every year to improve the look and ergonomics, with varying degrees of success. The Galaxy S Ultra in particular opted for a rectangular design, the sharp corners of which look stylish but tend to dig into your hand. The Galaxy S24 Ultra might be the worst in this regard – here’s a 3D view next to the S23 Ultra.
Samsung may finally change course and go for a rounded design. Noted leaker and outspoken Samsung critic Ice Universe shared these mockups of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Exactly, the corners are no longer 90° angles that pierce the palm. For some time now Ice says the S25 Ultra’s design will be closer to the S24 and S24+. That means a flat (at least flatter) front and back.
There may be some asymmetry – the back may remain more rounded than the front, giving the phone a softer shape that will be more pleasant to hold.
Here are some hypothetical comparisons with the current Galaxy S24 Ultra and the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new S flagship has rounded corners — both on the bezel and the display — and it’s quite noticeable next to its predecessor. Next to the iPhone, however, the new Ultra still looks fairly rectangular.
