The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to launch either later this month or in October. It will feature a downgraded version of the Exynos 2400 chip, the same charging as its predecessor, a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,900 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top, a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 10MP selfie camera, and a 4,565mAh battery. Oh, and a price hike.
According to a new rumor from a usually reliable source, the Galaxy S24 FE in Europe will be €100 more expensive than the Galaxy S23 FE at launch. That’s a pretty tough pill to swallow if it comes to fruition, especially since you won’t get any extra memory or storage: the base S24 FE will still only have 8GB of the former and 128GB of the latter, just like the S23 FE.

So the Galaxy S24 FE with 8/128GB will cost €799. Last year’s S23 FE started at €699. The “regular” Galaxy S24 currently sells for around €600 in Europe with the same amount of RAM/storage, while the S24+ currently costs under €800 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So why would anyone choose the S24 FE over either of those models? It’s a good question, right?
