Yesterday Samsung Galaxy M55s passed BIS Certification. Geekbench launched today. It’s the same model number as in the certification, SM-M558B, while original M55 is SM-M556.
Based on the test results, it appears that the Galaxy M55s will use the same Snapdragon 7 first generation chipset as in the original M55. The review unit also had 8GB of RAM, which is the base capacity for the M55. So what’s new?

In the past, we’ve seen improvements in the camera and battery departments of the s-phones. For example, here’s what’s changed in M31s Galaxy and Galaxy M30s compared to the vanilla models. For comparison, the current M55 has a 50MP (1/1.56″, OIS) main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera on the back, as well as a rare 50MP selfie camera. As for the battery, it’s a 5,000mAh cell with 45W charging.
Unfortunately, none of the certifications issued for the M55 reveal the battery capacity, but we’ll keep our ear to the ground. The launch can’t be far off.
