Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy M05 – the latest entry-level member of its M series. From the looks of it alone, you’ll know it’s a rebranded Galaxy A05, and the specs confirm the similarities.

Like the A05, the Galaxy M05 offers a 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The waterdrop notch houses an 8-megapixel front camera.
There’s a 50MP main camera on the back, along with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. Samsung has gone a step further and used the same MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
The Galaxy M05 comes with One UI Core 6.0 based on Android 14, with Samsung promising 2 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates.
The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with 25W charging support and a headphone jack.

The Galaxy M05 is available in mint green color and is priced at 7999 Indian Rupees (95 USD) in a single 4/64 GB version. The device will soon be available on Samsung India, Amazon and its partner retailers.
