Samsung has been working on the Galaxy M05, which was first launched alongside the F05 in July. Now, the M05 support page is live on Samsung India’s website. This usually means that the official launch will happen within a few weeks.
Unfortunately, the listing on the support page doesn’t reveal any specifications of the phone, only the model number SM-M055F/DS. The M05 was recently certified for sale in India by BIS.
The Galaxy M05 will be the successor to the Galaxy M04 from 2022, and like that model, it will be in the very low end of Samsung’s lineup. To get a sense of how low end we’re talking about, keep in mind that the M04 is equipped with a 6.5-inch 720×1600 60Hz LCD touchscreen, a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, a 13MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor next to it, a 5MP selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 15W wired charging.
