Salvador hosts Brazilian Archery Championship

The 50th Brazilian Archery Championship will feature the participation of around 250 athletes from across the country –

The Pituaçu Stadium will host, between October 25 and 27, the 50th Brazilian Archery Championship. The event will feature the participation of around 250 athletes from all over the country, including Bahian medal hopefuls and Marcos D’Almeida, the world’s number one archer.

The grand final of the individual categories will take place on Saturday, 28, at Praça Cayru, at 14:30. The competition will feature open categories for recurve, barebow and compound bows, in women’s and men’s modalities, as well as team competitions (with three archers) and mixed doubles.

“We are very proud to host this special edition. The expectations are very high for this tournament, which not only celebrates the talent of our archers, but also marks 50 years of the Brazilian Archery Championship. We will show the strength of the country in organizing major events, with the support of Sudesb, which aims to develop the sport in the region with high competitiveness and technique”, said Renata Barros, president of FBAF.

The tournament was organized by Brasil Arco in collaboration with the Bahia Archery Federation (FBAF) and the Bahia State Sports Superintendency (Sudesb).
