What idea does the new owner have for Salon24? – I want to revisit this idea, but in a modern and dynamic way – by opening up the newsroom to our community. My goal is to give each of our readers who creates valuable and substantive content a real opportunity to have it published on our homepage. We have countless examples where the work of Internet users has brought amazing results. We want to use this potential on a large scale. Salon24 aims to be a platform that gives a voice to both experts and ordinary people – he explains.
The site will include more content on local and government issues. – In line with our motto “act locally, inform centrally”, I want to highlight the achievements and challenges of local communities, valuing initiatives that are often ignored by mainstream media. We will show our audience inspiring examples of good practices from all over Poland, mobilize others to take action. At the same time, we will not hesitate to stigmatize pathologies that are often silenced at the local level. Salon24 will be a platform for both those who deserve recognition and those who need support in the fight against abuse – says Jan Peńsko.
Salon24 also aims to attract young customers. – We want to reach young people with our journalism, using formats that are close to them and understandable, such as TikTok, Instagram or Twitch. Our goal is for the Salon24 editorial office to become a place where a new generation of journalists can exchange experiences and develop their skills – adds the new owner.
