Fame Pyar KiyaStarring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree, the film has been re-released in theaters after 35 years. Sooraj Barjatya movie opened in theaters in 1989. Fame Pyar Kiya has joined the list of films re-released in the last couple of weeks. According to NDTV correspondent Prashant, the film will be screened in selected theaters for a week. He added that in addition to the anniversary celebration Fame Pyar Kiya’s the reason for the re-release was the lack of fresh content. Interestingly, three big films were released on Independence Day – Street 2, Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein – but it wasn’t enough to attract a large audience to the theaters. Before this Triptii Dimri and Avinash Tiwary’s Laila Majnuand, Hum Aapke Hai Koun..! Featuring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit was re-released much to the delight of fans.

Back to the point Fame Pyar KiyaBhagyashree shared her excitement about the film’s re-release. The actor told News18 that he is “very excited” to see how the film will impact today’s generation. He said: “To think that a whole new generation will experience that magic Fame Pyar Kiya the screen is absolutely amazing! It’s a timeless love story, and connecting it to young hearts today is like watching a movie come to life. I’m excited to see how Gen-Z resonates with the pure, simple romance we portray.”

Remembers the time when Fame Pyar Kiya was first released, Bhagyashree added, “It was life-changing in every way. Personally it made me a household name, and professionally it opened doors I never imagined. But more than that, the film gave me an emotional connection with the audience that is still alive today. It’s rare , that an actor has one, and I feel truly blessed.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, Fame Pyar Kiya told the love story of Prem (Salman Khan) and Suman (Bhagyashree) who fight against all odds to be together. The film was Bhagyashree’s debut on the big screen. Alok Nath, Reema Lagoo, Mohnish Bahl and Ajit Vachani were also part of the film.
