The body of Filipino, a 19-year-old student at the University of Paris-Dauphine, was found buried in the Bois de Boulogne, west of Paris, during a search on September 21. A 22-year-old Moroccan citizen, previously convicted of rape and obliged to leave the territory (OQTF), was arrested on Tuesday in Switzerland. A judicial investigation into the rape and murder was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office.
Following this murder, several political leaders, from both the right and left, questioned the “criminal and administrative chain” in the case, judging that the suspect should not have been released before obtaining permission for expulsion to Morocco.
