For Simon Rolfes, Bayern Munich’s substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich’s verbal foul is no longer an issue. “Sven Ulreich called me too. That’s everything for me,” Bayer Leverkusen sporting director said after his team’s 1-0 (0-0) Champions League win over Milan.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl had previously announced Ulreich’s apology to Rolfes. A video clip of the top match in the German League on Saturday between Bayern and Leverkusen (1:1) has appeared on the Internet. You can see Ulrich insulting Rolfs and calling him, among other things, a “tramp”.
The German Football Association’s monitoring committee then began investigations against Ulreich. However, it remains unclear whether charges will be brought against the 36-year-old or the proceedings will be halted.
