For example, weeds growing through cracks in paving stones can make a home look unclean.
Although weeding can be a chore, especially on your back, there is a simple solution to removing unwanted plants.
Typical ways to get rid of weeds, in addition to removing them from the ground, are pouring boiling hot water over them and using white vinegar.
The experts at Driveway Paving – who can transform your wasted garden space into a new, comfortable living space for you and your family – revealed another solution.
“Brine is another effective homemade weed killer,” experts noted. “Just make a solution of three parts water and one part salt.”
The idea is to make a salt water solution and carefully spray the weeds with a spray bottle.
“Salt dries out the plant and kills it,” the expert explained. “For even more effective weed control, sprinkle dry salt on resistant weeds to speed up the drying process.”
There are also methods to prevent the growth of weeds, such as frequent sweeping of the patio.
The experts elaborated: “Usually weed seeds are blown or fall into crevices. When seeds are left in place, the seeds germinate and grow.
“If you sweep the sidewalk patio frequently, the seeds won’t have enough time to grow.”
The use of polymer sand between cracks in stones and pavement is also recommended.
“Sand consists of very fine particles coated with an additive such as silica as a binder when it comes into contact with water,” the experts noted.
“This creates a better seal between the tiles and the stone and prevents weed growth.”
