However, Joseph Berger, the cleaning expert at You’ve Got Maids, has shared that a “quick and easy way” to clean an air pressure cooker is to use three natural ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen cupboard.

Joseph said: “Remove the insides and clean them thoroughly with warm soapy water. Keep it eco-friendly by trying a mixture of warm water, vinegar and lemon juice. “

Detergent is one of the best degreasers because it contains surfactants that can break the water’s tension, allowing it to penetrate oil and grease stains, making them easier to wash.

White vinegar and lemon juice are also very effective in cleaning a deep fryer as they are anti-bacterial and help clean your cooking space as burnt grease stains can be a breeding ground for bacteria.

How to properly clean an air pressure cooker

First, fill the sink with hot water and detergent, remove the dishes or basket from the air cooker and place them in the sink.

Let the air fryer components stand for a few minutes and then wash off the grease with a soft sponge.

If any of the stains are particularly stubborn, gently scrub them with a toothbrush and then leave the basket or trays to dry.

Next, pour white vinegar or lemon juice on a cloth and wipe the inside of the air cooker. Remember to be careful when cleaning the heating device.

Rinse the air fryer with clean water and a cloth, then make sure it’s completely dry before putting everything back together.

Your air fryer should be sparkling clean again, but be sure to wipe it down after each use to prevent grease stains from forming in the future.

Joseph said: “The key to cleaning your air fryer is regularity – do it often and it’s easy! The worst thing would be to let it go for a while where the build-up builds up.

“This is especially true when you use a lot of sauces, which are more likely to stick to the surfaces of the air cooker.”
