The number of people injured as a result of the Russian attack on the military university in Poltava in east-central Ukraine has risen to 271 and the death toll is 51, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Tuesday night.
The rescue operation is still ongoing – the rubble is being demolished. All services are involved. Currently, the number of injured is 271. All of them received the necessary assistance.
Zelensky said.
He stressed that there are still people under the rubble of the destroyed building.
We are doing everything we can to save as many lives as possible. According to the information currently available, 51 people died in this Russian attack.

The Russian military fired two ballistic missiles at the city of Poltava in east-central Ukraine on Tuesday, striking a military college and a nearby hospital.
The target of the attack was the Poltava Military Institute of Communications. Ukrainian military sources reported that one of the buildings of the Institute was partially destroyed and many people were found under the rubble.
