00:09. Ukraine used F-16 aircraft to repel a massive Russian missile attack
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that the Ukrainian Air Force used F-16 aircraft to defend against a massive missile attack from Russia.
Russia attacked 15 of Ukraine’s 24 oblasts on August 26, firing more than 200 missiles and drones in the largest-ever airstrike on Ukraine, The Kyiv Independent reports.
The F-16s (gave) a very good result. As part of this massive strike, we used F-16s to shoot down several missiles and drones. We would like to thank our partners for providing us with F-16s. Of course, this is not enough, we do not have many and we still need to train pilots.
