00:01. Russian Defense Ministry: 300 Ukrainian soldiers and 11 tanks attacked Kursk region
Ukraine attacked Russia’s Kursk Oblast on Tuesday morning, sending up to 300 troops, 11 tanks and more than 20 armored personnel carriers there, the Russian Defense Ministry said, adding that aviation was used to repel the attacks. Kyiv did not comment on the reports.

– said the Defense Ministry in Moscow.

State Border Guard Troops, together with units of the Border Guard Troops of the Federal Security Service of Russia, repel attacks and inflict fire on the enemy in the area of the state border and reserves (from the Ukrainian side – PAP) on the territory of Sumy Oblast
— announced the Russian ministry.
It also reported that Russian aviation was involved in the fighting and struck “at points of concentration of Ukrainian troops in the border villages of Sumy Oblast, on the Ukrainian side of the border.”
Reserves of a group of Russian troops in the Kursk direction have advanced to the area of the clashes
– stated in the announcement.
The Russians said they destroyed 16 armored vehicles, including six tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, four armored personnel carriers, three Kozak armored fighting vehicles and one engineering vehicle.
The Ukrainian side has not commented on this information in any way so far.
