Thirteen people were injured in a train crash between Xanten and Duisburg, three of them seriously. According to initial information from a Federal Police spokesman, the passenger train crashed into a freight train parked next to the level crossing at around 7:30 a.m. for unknown reasons. A rescue helicopter is being used. The federal police are using another to record the accident. The route has been closed since then.
