Rapper Sean Combs is trying to be released from custody

American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs (54 years old) is trying to be released from custody. The musician’s lawyers appealed the judge’s decision not to parole Combs until the start of the trial, according to court documents available to the German News Agency in New York. There was initially no reaction from the court. A date for the possible start of the trial has not yet been set.

Combs has been in custody for about two weeks. The rapper is accused of sex trafficking, organized crime and other crimes. Combs has pleaded not guilty. There are also numerous civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault. A legal team in Houston, Texas, plans to publish more lawsuits on Tuesday. With hits like “I’ll Be Missing You” and “Bad Boy For Life,” Combs has become one of the world’s most successful rappers in recent decades.
