If you’re a fan of 2000s Bollywood rom-coms, we’ve got some good news for you. Beloved movie 2001 Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Meinfeaturing R Madhavan, Dia Mirza and Saif Ali Khan, will be re-released in theaters on August 30. Yes, you read that right. The makers have confirmed the news by sharing the video poster of the film on their official Instagram handle. The caption read: “23 years later, love finds its way back to the silver screen. Relive the magic of timeless romance Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. Re-release in cinemas TODAY FRIDAY 30.8.2024! Are you excited?” The film will be shown in PVR INOX theaters until September 5.
Just a day before the re-release, the makers dropped a montage on social media containing some special glimpses Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil MeinThe clip featured special glimpses of R Madhavan, Dia Mirza and Saif Ali Khan. One of the frames shows the iconic Zara Zara a series of songs. The title track playing in the background brings nostalgic memories to mind. “Fall in love all over again with a classic story that never gets old,” reads the caption. Check it out:
Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein is a love triangle. It centers around Maddy (Madhavan) who impersonates Rajeev (Saif Ali Khan) to woo his love Reena (Dia Mirza). Things take a surprising turn when the truth is revealed. Pooja Entertainment is behind the film. Apart from the lead trio, the film also stars Jackky Bhagnani, Tanaaz Currim Irani, Anupam Kher, Kabir Sadanand, Maya Alagh, Navin Nischol and Smita Jaykar.
On the work front, R Madhavan has a few projects lined up including Test, Amriki Panditand De De Pyaar De 2. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan will be seen next Devara and The jewel thief.
