Quentin Tarantino Says: ‘I Don’t Watch All Animated Movies’

Los Angeles:

Legendary film director Quentin Tarantino said that he does not watch all animated stories, adding that he is a fan of the Toy Story trilogy.

“I don’t watch all the Animated movies and stuff, but I’m a big fan of the Toy Story trilogy,” he said in a video that has since gone viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He appeared together with Bill Maher in an episode of the comedy podcast Club Random, where he discussed the difficulties of ending the trilogy, among other things.

“I think there’s only one trilogy that works completely and utterly to the Nth degree, and that’s A Fistful of Dollars, A Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”

He went on to describe that the Clint Eastwood-starring Italian series, which founded the Spaghetti Western genre, was a success because it followed filmmaker Sergio Leone’s “one director’s vision” for all three films, reported deadline.com.

“It does what no other trilogy has ever been able to do. The first movie is great, but the second movie is so great and takes the whole idea to such a big screen that it obliterates the first,” Tarantino said.

He added: “And then the third does the same thing to the second, and that never happens. You see this big jump from the first to the second, and they don’t really get to the third.”

Quarantino said that the Mad Max movies as a series that can’t hold the bill.

Like the Dollars Trilogy, Tarantino said the Disney animated series is capable of achieving that feat, and for that reason he has no interest in watching beyond the junior installment.

“In the case of Toy Story, the third one is absolutely fantastic. It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. And if you’ve seen the other two, it’s just devastating. But the thing is, then three years later or something, they did a fourth one, and I don’t want to see that.”

“You literally wrapped up the story as perfectly as you could, so no, I don’t care if it’s good. I’m ready.”
