Quaest research released on Monday (30) shows that the current mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes (PSD), leads the electoral race with 53% of voting intentions, which means victory in the first round. Compared to the previous poll conducted on September 18, BICE showed a negative volatility of 4 percentage points.
Alexandre Ramagem (PL) and Tarcisio Motta (PSOL), its main rivals, saw little growth, swinging 2 percentage points upwards. Ramagem now appears at 20%, while Motta reaches 6% of voting intentions.

The statements are part of a stimulating scenario, where interviewees are presented with candidate options. The poll, commissioned by Globo, was conducted in person with 1,140 voters aged 16 or over, from September 27-29. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, and the poll’s confidence level is 95%.
The poll, registered with the Electoral Court under No. RJ-00566/2024, did not include a simulation of the second round.
