A 23-year-old Skierniewice resident died in a quad bike accident. The circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated by the Giżycko police.
The accident occurred at night Szymonka village between Giżycko and Mikołajki.
Police have determined that the ATV was driven by a 23-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man. According to the man, the vehicle was driven by a woman who crashed into a tree and died at the scene. We are now verifying the version presented by the man who was not seriously injured in the incident – said Giżycko police press officer Iwona Chruścińska.

Szymonka It is a picturesque village, through which passes a narrow and winding county road that connects Mikołajki with Giżycko. The road is sheltered by trees. There is usually a lot of traffic there in the summer because it is the shortest road connecting two Masurian towns.
